"To be named as Most Innovative Firm of the Year reflects the amount of time and effort that has gone into developing solutions that have made, and continue to make, a real difference to our clients. I couldn’t be prouder of the talented teams involved from across IT and the business. This award is very much for all of them. I would also like to thank all of our wonderful clients for the passionate support they continue to show us.”
Proving that it’s not just our sector-defining HOLT product that is grabbing the attention of our peers in the market, Horwich Farrelly won two awards at the prestigious British Legal Technology Awards (BLTA) last week.
Judged by an independent and impartial panel of experts and hosted by Netlaw Media, the BLTA are open to law firms, barristers’ chambers, in-house legal departments, alternative legal service providers and suppliers.
As well as acknowledging and rewarding excellence in legal technology and IT security within both the UK and international legal sectors, the awards also recognise leadership, innovation and technology as well as the individuals, teams and suppliers transforming the future of legal services.
We were shortlisted in two categories; the standout top prize of Most Innovative Firm of the Year, and Security Team of the Year, and, at a grand ceremony at London’s Old Billingsgate last week, we managed to win both awards!
John Presland, Chief Information Officer at Horwich Farrelly, said: “We are delighted to win not one, but two awards at the prestigious British Legal Technology Awards. Its recognition for the hard work and effort the entire team has put into these vitally important areas over the past 18 months.
“The Most Innovative Firm award recognises firms that demonstrate they are transforming the competitive landscape with the delivery of innovative client solutions, technologies, platforms and services whilst the Security award – an area we take extremely seriously – rewards those who are proactively implementing advanced IT security systems by successfully executing system and network protection procedures. Well done to everyone involved.”
David Scott, Partner and Head of Innovation & Client Solutions, added: “To be named as Most Innovative Firm of the Year reflects the amount of time and effort that has gone into developing solutions that have made, and continue to make, a real difference to our clients. I couldn’t be prouder of the talented teams involved from across IT and the business. This award is very much for all of them. I would also like to thank all of our wonderful clients for the passionate support they continue to show us.”
Speaking on the wins and the role played by the IT team in implementing these initiatives Managing Partner, Ronan McCann, said: “These wins reflect the considerable amount of work our IT team have undertaken in order to protect client data and internal operations from third party intrusions, and our ongoing determination to continuously innovate so as to help deliver positive and commercially impactful outcomes for our clients.”
