We are firmly committed to the development of our profession and believe that nurturing the next generation of legal professionals is essential. We were instrumental in the launch of the UK’s first legal apprentice scheme in 2013 which we use to bring a diverse range of talent to the firm. In 2016, the award-winning programme accepted a record 18 new apprentices and will continue to grow.
We are dedicated to charity fundraising and engage in numerous annual initiatives that are reflective of our diverse workforce, and have organised a wide range of events to raise both awareness and donations, often in partnership with our clients.
Since 2015 we have raised more than £35,000 for good causes including the Alzheimer’s Society, Mummy’s Star and Macmillan and North West Legal Support Trust.
We have also supported WellChild with employees volunteering almost 600 hours working on garden makeovers for families with complex care and health needs.
In 2017 we are committed to raising a minimum of £15,000 for our nominated charity – as voted for by our people – Rethink Mental Illness.
We understand the importance of sustainability and this is considered in all aspects of business growth. We are conscious of the world’s limited natural resources and endeavor to do all we can as a professional services firm to make responsible buying decisions and to ensure the sustainability of our supply chain.
To achieve this we have targets around waste, water and carbon footprint reductions and engage our people around the behaviours that can achieve this – in the workplace and at home.
