In addition, Business Psychologist and Leadership Coach, Jess Baker, spoke to the group about ‘imposter syndrome’ and Sally Penni, Barrister and founder of Women in Law UK, talked about the barriers and challenges she has had to overcome in her career to date.
The initiative, which follows the announcement that the firm has signed up to the Law Society’s Women Returners programme, is just one component of Horwich Farrelly’s strategy to improve diversity and inclusion and reduce its gender pay gap.
A recent review of family friendly policies has led to the introduction of enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave pay, and work is underway to consider the potential to introduce greater flexibility around the firm’s operational hours. Recruitment processes have also been overhauled to provide greater transparency and clearer pathways for progression.
