Horwich Farrelly has secured a prestigious award in recognition of its unique approach to performance management.
The firm scooped the top prize in the category of Excellence in Talent Management at the HR in Law Awards 2017 which took place on 4 May in London. The accolade was in recognition of the Career Passport, a completely new approach to performance management which was launched last autumn in response to employee feedback.

In presenting the award the judges said “Horwich Farrelly was able to demonstrate a real shift in culture and approach regarding talent and retention. Involving other disciplines like marketing, they stepped back from fine tuning business as usual and reengineered their approach and offer completely”.
The awards, which were hosted by comedienne Katherine Ryan (pictured, far left), are designed to recognise HR excellence across the legal world.
Liz Partington, Director of HR, said “Our HR, Learning & Development and Marketing teams worked seamlessly on this project to come up with an initiative which was not only well suited for the needs of a growing practice but also one that showed real flair and creativity.
“Developing and launching such a completely new approach to performance management across our business was challenging. However, we’ve been delighted with the results achieved to date and for the Career Passport to be recognised at these esteemed awards is the ultimate stamp of approval”.
